Books to celebrate Mother’s Day

This year Mother’s Day is on 10th March 2013! There’s no better way to celebrate mums than having kids reading them books about motherly love. Here is our favourite selection of books about motherhood.

For Mother’s Day, Little Tiger Press has a trio of delightful books for mothers everywhere!

My mum is so special in every way. I want to be just like my mummy one day!

Little Bear’s mum is so clever, she can do just about anything! She can roar and skate and swim like a fish, and she’s never afraid of the dark. But the thing she does best in all the world is holding her bear cub tight.

Just Like My Mummy

Illustrated by Sharon Harmer

£4.99
(Caterpillar Books)

It’s a busy day on the farm! Meet lots of friendly mummy and baby farm animals and find out what they like to do best together. With strokeably soft characters to touch and feel, this adorable chunky tabbed board book is perfect for parents to share with their little ones.

‘My mummy’ by Paula metcalf and Lucy Barnard is an amazing book for young children published by Macmillan. This story is a wonderful celebration of motherhood and the special bond that exists between a mum and her children.

It’s really beautifully illustrated and I can relate to all activities and scenarios mentioned in the story: from cycling together in the park to make rocketships out of junk I bet most London mums would relate to this story of mummy bear! We absolutely love this book! Read our full review here https://new.londonmumsmagazine.com/2012/my-mummy
