With Easter and the school holidays upon us, a new poll has revealed the top ten days out for families in the UK over the bank holiday weekend.

According to the survey of 1,010 parents conducted by Ffrees Family Finance that helps families save as they spend, the cold weather this year is driving families towards indoor attractions this Easter.

However despite the less chilly appeal of the Natural History Museum and The Eden Project, there is still a hard core who would choose the chills and thrills at Alton Towers, penguins and elephants at Chester Zoo or rambling through the Cheddar Gorge.

TOP TEN FAMILY DAYS OUT THIS EASTER

1) Natural History Museum, London (44%)
