Get ready for brighter Fridays! Off-Peak Fares from today

Off-peak Friday fares are starting this week as part of a trial to make travelling around London more affordable. During this trial, the fare will be reduced to £3.60, saving you £2 on your journey. The Mayor’s budget has allocated £24 million to support this initiative, which aims to encourage more people to use public transport and help compensate our transport network.

To boost economic growth and support sectors like hospitality, business, and leisure, TfL and London & Partners have launched a new webpage with offers available on Fridays during the trial. Pay as you go journeys will be charged at the off-peak price on Fridays, making it cheaper for everyone to travel.

Mayor Sadiq Khan is calling on all Londoners to support this initiative, which could potentially help boost economic recovery and support those affected by the cost-of-living crisis.

In addition to the fare changes, upgrades are being made to improve reliability on bus journeys. Traffic signalling is being upgraded, and some bus lanes are being extended to give buses greater priority, making them more reliable and convenient for everyone.

During the trial, the off-peak rate will apply on Fridays, helping those who make multiple journeys throughout the day. Freedom Passes and 60+ London Oyster photocard holders can also travel for free all day on Fridays.
