A journey through art and Yoga at Frameless London: A multi-sensory experience

Frameless London, near Marble Arch, is rewriting the rules of how art is experienced. Renowned as the UK’s largest permanent multi-sensory gallery, this immersive space takes you on a journey through some of the world’s greatest masterpieces, offering a 360-degree perspective that places visitors at the heart of iconic art. But the Central London attraction has upped its game recently, introducing a truly innovative feature: yoga at Frameless classes within their art-filled rooms. It’s a partnership with our beloved Fearne Cotton’s wellness brand Happy Place which is offering a series of immersive wellness classes – for a limited period – including Sound Baths, Yoga, Breathwork and Laughing Yoga. Each uplifting class is set amongst an immersive backdrop, helping you unwind and recharge while going on a journey of self-nourishment. If you would like to be the first to know about future wellness classes, please sign up here.

The Frameless experience: Art in motion

Walking into Frameless feels like stepping into a painting. Imagine being enveloped by the star-speckled blues of Van Gogh’s Starry Night or wading through the luminous serenity of Monet’s water lilies. This isn’t just art on walls – it’s art that breathes, moves, and sings. Each of the four galleries is meticulously designed to combine light, music, and projection, turning static masterpieces into living worlds.

The mirrored gallery, in particular, is a family favourite, where children and adults alike marvel at their reflexions blending into the art. It’s interactive, engaging, and makes classic art accessible to all ages, inspiring lively discussions about personal favourites amongst the displayed works.

During weekends, the space buzzes with visitors, but a weekday visit offers a more tranquil experience, perfect for those looking to lose themselves in artistic reverie. The on-site café bar provides a cosy spot for a mid-gallery pause, serving as a reminder that even art enthusiasts need a caffeine break.

Yoga in an artistic sanctuary

Frameless’s newest offering – yoga classes amidst their immersive art – has become a hit. Picture this: flowing through a sun salutation as Van Gogh’s swirling skies move around you, or holding a tree pose while Monet’s water lilies ripple beneath your feet.

The classes blend traditional yoga with Frameless’s signature sensory approach. Accompanied by calming music tailored to the artwork, the sessions offer a meditative experience like no other. Participants have described it as both grounding and transcendent – a rare combination of physical wellness and artistic immersion. The soothing ambience created by the art projections transforms these classes into a form of moving meditation, leaving attendees rejuvenated and inspired.

Cultural and technological significance

Frameless stands as a beacon of how art and technology can unite to offer something profoundly modern yet timeless. Located in a city rich with history, the gallery is a reminder of how art evolves to remain relevant in contemporary culture.

Marble Arch, a location steeped in British heritage, serves as the perfect backdrop for this futuristic endeavour. The gallery itself embraces a global perspective on art, featuring works from European masters like Van Gogh, Monet, and Klimt, while presenting them in ways that resonate with today’s audiences.

The new yoga programme adds yet another dimension, recognising the growing demand for wellness experiences that cater to both the mind and body. This initiative positions Frameless as more than an art gallery; it’s a cultural hub where art meets lifestyle.

Who should visit?

Whether you’re an art aficionado, a family looking for an enriching outing, or a yoga enthusiast seeking a serene escape, Frameless has something for everyone. Families often spend the most time in the interactive mirrored gallery, while solo visitors and couples might savour quieter corners of the space. The yoga classes are perfect for those seeking a unique way to practice mindfulness. This was my third visit and I have to say that it is almost as beautiful as the first one. The place is constantly evolving.

Frameless London doesn’t just display art; it invites you to live it. The addition of yoga classes elevates the experience, transforming a gallery visit into an opportunity for self-care and reflexion. This multi-sensory venue is a testament to how art, when reimagined, can touch lives in extraordinary ways.

If you’re looking to escape the city’s hustle, immerse yourself in beauty, and perhaps find your centre amidst swirling brushstrokes, Frameless London awaits. Just be sure to book ahead – the yoga at Frameless is as popular as it is transformative!
