Last minute Mother’s Day gift ideas

Feet up London Mums! This Sunday it’s Mother’s Day and we all deserve a break from household tasks and childcare as well as mumpreneurial work. Of all the statistics I have read over the years on the value of a mum to a UK family, in terms of their daily contributions to household tasks, my favourite has to be a recent study stating that mums’ work at home is worth nearly £30,000 a year.
This is a big enough figure to celebrate this weekend and get spoilt for a change. Here is what I want to celebrate.

FLAT WHITE MARTINI Baileys cocktail drink recipe party

If it’s a sunny day, I might go to Richmond Park and after a nice home meal prepared by my family, have a relaxing afternoon and in the evening sit in front of the TV and watch a lovely movie with a Baileys Truffle Chocolate bar and a Flat White Martini cocktail.

Flat White martini is one of Selfridges best selling cocktails  – perfect for a hard working mum to enjoy some ‘me time’ with as it’s a guaranteed treat after a whirlwind day with the kids.

I have posted the recipe here. It’s super easy to make.

I will raise a glass for all London Mums this weekend in this quirky Cuppa that I have recently found.

quirky cuppa

I love it! One glass fits all! This double ended drinking glass made of non-tempered glass features a mug for your morning coffee or tea and a wine glass ready to relax with after 5pm!

Cheeky and cheerful, this novelty cuppa and tipsy wine glass is useful during the day to drink a hot beverage and after working hours are over to sip in style. You’ll be head over heels (after 5pm) before you know it.

This ingenious Before 5 and After 5 Drinking Glass is fully functional and easy to clean. Available for £15.95 from www.prezzybox.com
