Christmas Gift Guide 2013: BABIES & TODDLERS

It is always quite tricky to buy a present for babies and toddlers as you need to please both the mums and the kids. I hope this selection would please everyone. 🙂

Pebble Fair Trade Cotton Crochet Christmas Santa Rattle

The perfect 1st Christmas gift for a baby – this handmade, fair trade Santa rattle makes a really cute stocking filler. It is made by Pebble under Fair Trade conditions in Bangladesh. What I love about it is that it is hand made by skilled artisans using crochet techniques and you can feel the quality (Strictly tested to all relevant European toy safety standards). It is made from lovely 100% soft cotton, safe and cuddly for baby. It is not a cheap Chinese product and it is suitable for a baby from birth. It is approx. 15cm, the perfect size for little hands. You can also machine wash it at 40 degrees.

Not only is this cutest rattle handmade and Fair Trade but it’s absolutely gorgeous as well! Another fabulous addition the cotton crochet toys from Pebble www.borngifted.co.uk.

CLOTHING

Some of my favourite British clothing ranges have to be Myleene Klass’s range Baby K, which she has been designing exclusively for Mothercare since 2007. Colours are sumptuous tones of gold, with a dash of vivid winter pink and cobalt blue for girls. Boyswear colours are a mix of classic navy, and claret with a bright burst of Autumn orange, a key colour for the season!

Jools Oliver’s collection Little Bird is also exclusively designed for Mothercare has a strong vintage vibe, and features a unique mix of high quality, affordable pieces. It is definitely less glam than Myleene’s range but has simpler lines which I quite like.

TOYS

It is often less confusing to go to a shop when it comes to buying toys for babies and toddlers just to be safer that they are for the right age group. This year we found our favourite toys for babies and toddlers at Early Learning Centre and here are the pictures of our top three.
