Captain Fantastic raises funds for NSPCC through spook-tacular tour

Captain Fantastic, a leading UK children’s entertainment franchise, has donated £685 to the NSPCC following a series of Halloween-themed community events. The donation supports the charity’s vital work in protecting children and preventing abuse, as the NSPCC relies heavily on public contributions, which make up 80% of its funding.

Tommy Balaam

An NSPCC spokesperson expressed gratitude for the support, saying:

“We’re so grateful you’ve chosen to help children by raising £685. Your gift will help fund our direct services, protecting children and changing lives. Thanks to people like you, we can be here for children. Together, we can protect children and prevent abuse.”

The funds were raised through Captain Fantastic’s Halloween tour, which featured Dr. Zob’s Monster Academy. The show offered a mix of eerie experiments, bubbling potions, flying objects, and fun activities like the Roar-O-Meter, alongside a friendly Frankenstein. The events provided affordable Halloween entertainment for families, visiting venues across the UK, including Pinner, Ruislip, Uxbridge, Winchester, Southampton, Birmingham, Brighton, Newcastle, Oxford, and Lincolnshire.

Tommy Balaam, the company’s founder and self-described “Director of Fun,” explained the motivation behind the events:

“Our spook-tacular Halloween shows brought big party experiences to children at a fraction of the cost. It was fantastic to see families enjoying the fun while knowing we were supporting the NSPCC.”

Captain Fantastic has been creating magical experiences for children for over a decade, hosting over 2,000 parties and events annually, reaching more than 60,000 children. The company is now gearing up for festive Christmas events, with details to be announced soon on their website.
