Let it go … how to feel better when faced with difficult situations

I wrote this after dealing with my internet provider for my blog – LOL.

What is your favourite saying when faced with a challenge or frustrating or difficult situation? We often underestimate the power of these phrases to help us laugh or move on from something we really shouldn’t let bring us down. It’s your life, and you need to enjoy it and let go of toxic situations.

Humorous/Dismissive:
“Well, that escalated quickly.”
“This is fine.” (Use this with the accompanying meme for maximum effect)
“I’m not even mad, I’m just disappointed.”
“The struggle is real.”
“First world problems.”
“Bless their heart.”
“Oh, the humanity!” (Said with a sarcastic tone)

Empowering/Accepting:
“This too shall pass.”
“Life throws curveballs.”
“I’m stronger than this.”
“It is what it is.”
“I’m learning and growing.”
“I’ll figure it out.”
“I’m grateful for this experience.”
Direct/Confident:
“I’m not going to let this ruin my day.”
“I deserve better than this.”
“I’m moving on.”
“I’m choosing peace.”
“I’m taking control of my own happiness.”

Remember to:

Use these phrases with intention: Choose the one that best reflects how you’re feeling in the moment.
Practice self-compassion: It’s okay to feel frustrated or upset. These phrases are tools to help you cope, not to deny your emotions.
Focus on the positive: After acknowledging the difficult situation, try to shift your focus to something that brings you joy.
By incorporating these phrases into your daily life, you can cultivate a more positive and resilient mindset.
Say it – smile – and move on.

Let it go
