Indoor activities for kids with Design and Drill Flower power studio kit

The school holidays are upon us and parents and carers need to be ready to entertain children both outdoor and indoor. In the coming weeks we will be publishing indoor entertainment ideas for kids so watch this space.

The London mums kids club is always on the hunt for ideas and this week’s tip comes from child reporter Diego who has prepared a short unboxing and review video where he candidly shows why he likes the Design and drill
Flower power studio kit by Learning Resources.

Indoor activities for kids

The toy market these days offers a variety of construction games – also widely used in schools for playtime – to develop fine motor skills. But we believe this kit is quite unique and good value for money.

This particular box was clearly aimed at girls if you consider the bright colours used for the pieces as well as the patterns but, as you can see here, the electric drill and the construction activity are very appealing to boys too.

Design & Drill is simple to use and children screw in different components to a board of holes trying to create a pattern from a selection from the easy to use instruction manual or they can even create their own figure.

This construction game is simple enough for children from 3 years upwards who can discover patterns, colours and shakes but can be used by older children to create more complicated shapes and designs.

One of the cool things of this box is the portable board that folds into a handbag shape which can be decorated by the children.

Overall the design …. Is excellent for the development of problem solving skills early on in child’s early learning.

At RRP £29.94 (incl. VAT) we the Design & Drill kit is excellent value for money as it provides hours of entertainment for many years for a pre-schooler up to 8 years of age.
