To celebrate the Westway Climbing Centre Christmas party, London Mums is offering five lucky winners the chance to attend an hour taster climbing session at Westway Sports Centre, completely free. Winners will have the chance to hone their climbing skills in a taster workshop with an instructor. By the end of the session, winners will have grasped the basics in indoor climbing and how to climb safely in a supervised environment. This class is designed for people who want to give climbing a try, in a fun and informal manner.

The Westway Climbing Centre has one of the largest climbing walls in the UK, up to 14.5 metres high, 120 rope lines and 350 routes. The Centre also has two bouldering walls with 100 boulder problems and routes can be found from grade 3 to grade 8. Additional facilities include a traverse wall, two training rooms, and a campus board.
The annual Climbing Christmas Party is being held at the Centre on the 16th December, offering all abilities the chance to come and climb, meet Santa and enjoy a fun Christmas bouldering competition which will be running for 5-16 year olds. For adults, an ice climbing competition using specialised axes will be running on the Centre’s outside climbing wall from 7pm, giving you the chance to see how the professionals perform.
Westway Climbing Centre is located on Crowthorne Road, W10. It is part of the Westway Development Trust, a registered charity. The Trust was set up 40 years ago to develop the land beneath the Westway flyover for community benefit. The Centre is involved in sports development, health, education and the arts, with a focus on those most in need.
