SONIC 3: Behind the Scenes with Jeff Fowler, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, and Tika Sumpter

James Marsden & Tika Sumpter (Tom and Maddie)

Marsden, chatting about his iconic “Donut Lord” jumper, shared hilarious fan reactions to his quirky wardrobe, while Sumpter reflected on parenting and the mischievous antics that could rival Sonic’s on-screen shenanigans. Together, they revealed their most chaotic moments on set and real life, and even daydreamed about racing Sonic across the globe – with sneaky tactics, of course!

Jeff Fowler (Director)

Fowler gave us a sneak peek into Shadow’s brooding intensity and mused about what his audition tape might look like. He also spilt details on filming in London and how the city’s energy shaped the movie’s action-packed scenes. And if Sonic ever critiqued the editing process? Fowler imagined a chilli-dog-loving speedster who’d have a lot to say!

Ben Schwartz (Voice of Sonic)

Schwartz brought his signature humour, revealing how much of his vibrant personality fuels Sonic’s character. He confessed he’d use Sonic’s speed to dodge traffic and grab snacks in real life and hinted at moments in the film where he feels most like himself. The actor even shared insights about his own friendly rivalries, channelling Sonic’s competitive spirit.

The plot

In Sonic 3, Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails face their greatest challenge yet as they battle Shadow, a mysterious and powerful new enemy. Outmatched in every way, they must forge an unlikely alliance to save the planet.

Don’t miss this thrilling adventure in theatres this holiday season! Watch the full interviews in the video above for exclusive insights, laughs, and behind-the-scenes stories from the cast and crew.
