This week on Roald Dahl’s Day I took my ten year old son and a friend to see the West End musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the third time. With so much to do in London I rarely go and see the same show twice and certainly never three times. But this one is everybody’s absolute favourite and we did want to see it one more time before it leaves London early next year.
Yesterday I attended an event at Waterstones Piccadilly to announce the PR campaign surrounding the 20th anniversary of the world’s biggest annual celebration of reading in the UK, World Book Day 2017 . To my surprise I met a stellar panel including Jacqueline Wilson, Francesca Simon (Horrid Henry), Liz Pichon (Tom Gates) and Steven Butler (Dennis the Menace). I happen to be one of few lucky…

I dare say that it’s the best children’s book that I have reviewed in 2016. A…

We drive our children to school, pick them up in the afternoon, take family trips to favourite restaurants, go grocery shopping, and drive to virtually every place we need to be. Although driving is an important skill to have for mums, there are still those who make common yet very dangerous mistakes on the road. Do you still make these driving mistakes…

Over the years we have seen some amazing animation heroes of the animal variety, showing plenty of bravery throwing themselves into copious amounts of adventurous antics. From detective dogs to protagonist penguins, it’s often the animals that are the unlikely heroes…
