From Saturday, 24 February 2024, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the entire venue, try out guitars, browse merchandise, and enjoy the Gered Mankowitz photography exhibition. I had the chance to visit on Monday for a private viewing, and let me tell you, the sleek design of the space, the immersive atmosphere, and the diverse range of guitars on display made time fly by as I was having so much fun.
Around 80 local young people also experienced the Gibson Garage. They took part in an exciting guitar masterclass and enjoyed a mini gig hosted by the talented 19-year-old blues sensation and Gibson guitarist Toby Lee. Toby’s natural talent and maturity were evident as he interacted with the eager music students.
Gibson, a globally renowned instrument brand, has shaped the music world for over a century. On 22 February, celebrated artists like Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, and Sir Brian May joined Gibson fans to celebrate the grand opening of Gibson Garage London. The event included a special “In Conversation” session with legendary guitarist Jimmy Page, one of the masterminds behind Led Zeppelin, and live music performances.

The Gibson Garage showcases Gibson’s 130-year history of musical innovation. Located at 61-62 Eastcastle St, London, it’s the first Gibson flagship store outside the U.S., following the success of the Gibson Garage Nashville.
