Love your work – love your life

As we step into a new workweek, I’m reminded of something a wise Irishman once said:

“The world works hard during the week and rests on the weekend; we rest during the week and work hard on the weekend.”

It’s a humorous thought, but it carries a meaningful message.

Work shouldn’t feel like a constant struggle, nor should it fill you with stress or dread. If you don’t enjoy what you do, I urge you to reconsider your job or career path. You spend a significant portion of your life working—make sure it’s something you love and that brings you fulfillment.

Of course, every job comes with its challenges, but stress should never be so overwhelming that it harms your health, drains your spirit, or negatively impacts those around you. Work should add to your life, not take away from it.
