On the final leg of her UK tour, Kim Wilde, together with by her original band, her brother and her niece, brought an incredible energy to the London Palladium. The song list spanned four decades including You Keep Me Hanging On, Chequered Love and Kids in America. Kim started with most recent songs and finished with 70s hits which saw audience participation. Kim Wilde’s gig at the Palladium reflected nostalgia for the 80s which are in vogue.
Fabulous at 62, Kim expressed her gratitude for her fans’ loyalty over the years. The quality of the singing was still strong and the energy of the double drums coupled with guitars and base guitar played very well by some of the original members plus new promising talents. When I met her in 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall on the Spandau Ballet reunion concert, I remember asking Kim about her beauty secrets.

Kim as a fashion icon
Kim’s outfits were very rock ‘n’ roll and included a mix of 80s look and feel and current trendy items line leather, sparkly hats and corset in jackets which Kim peeled off gradually.
