Benefits of Messy Play

Babies and children learn and develop through play, but especially through unstructured, exploratory play.

Messy play focuses on exploring and experimenting with different materials without any end goal such as to build or make something. This allows young children to make their own discoveries using their senses, curiosity and knowledge.

Messy and sensory play is all about exploring, there’s not a right or wrong way. This means that any child can participate, whatever their ability, and benefit from it. It’s also a very sociable activity, but one that doesn’t rely on words. Children can play together and share their discoveries without needing to explain things verbally. However, it can also be a way of encouraging speech, for example by describing sensations, textures etc., and helping your child build their vocabulary.

Now for the fun part

There will tuff trays filled with pasta, jelly, foam plus a boating pool with fluffy bubbles to play with; there will also be lots of paints for your young artists to try their hands at some messy works of art.

A change of clothes is essential – this gets messy!

Lastly what else can possibly be any better than after all of this very messy play is to leave all of the cleaning up for someone else to do. Ages 4 months to 4 years, all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.

*Food Allergens – Health & Safety Notice for Parents & Guardians
Messy play activities may use foods that may contain some of the 14 common allergens.
Children must have permission to be participate and must be accompanied by an Adult.
* It is the Parent/Guardian’s responsibility to consult the food packaging before the child participates, especially if they suffer from food allergies or intolerances *

First child £11

Second child £9
