Not on a School Night!

It’s bedtime. Brush your teeth, snuggle down, turn out the lights. Sleep? Not a chance! ‘Not on a School Night!’ is a great book by new talent in children’s picture books Rebecca Patterson. This book is published by Macmillan Children’s Books on 5th January 2012. Age 2+.

It’s lights out for a pair of boisterous brothers. But when sheets can transform the boys into superheroes, crazy slippers can turn them into dinosaurs and becoming a duvet slug is only a wriggle away, there’s far too much fun to be had to think about sleeping. There’s just one problem . . . it’s a school night and Mum’s not happy!

This is a funny and very well illustrated book for kids of any age who feel that going to sleep early is just missing out on another adventure. We loved the attention to details in the illustrations of the boys’ rooms. Lovely colourful drawings that become topics of conversation in their own right.
