Talking Pictures: Don Cheadle Is Miles Ahead

The multi-talented Don Cheadle is in the hot seat on the latest edition of Talking Pictures.  He’s talking about his new movie, the Miles Davis bio-pic Miles Ahead – and he’s the director, star, producer and writer all rolled into one.  London Mums’ resident film critic, Freda Cooper, casts her critical eye over this week’s other big new release, Bastille Day.  It’s Idris Elba’s third film in four weeks.  There’s no escaping him!

Out on DVD, there’s minimalist indie The Survivalist and the record-breaking Star Wars:The Force Awakens

The new top five at the British box office has a brand new number one – and it’s also a double whammy for one big Hollywood studio!   Plus the movie news looks forward to two film festivals: Cannes, which opens next month, and London Sundance, which returns in June.

Your essential guide to the movies is packed into exactly 20 minutes.  It’s on iTunes, TuneIn and right here:
