Whatever the weather, the great British barbecue is a summer essential. To help make sure you’re properly prepared for any opportunity to fire up the grill, Sainsbury’s has selected its top five must have barbecue tools:
Smoking Box and Smoking Chips
Smoking boxes create a gentle fragrant smoke, make wood chips last longer, and are suitable for use on both gas and charcoal barbecues. Smoking chips infuse the meat, fish or vegetables with a subtle smoked flavour – simply soak the chips for half an hour before using to help release the aroma.
Fish Grill
The simplicity of the fish grill makes barbequing effortless. Pop the fish inside and it’s held firmly in place whist it cooks, simply turn the grill to turn the fish.
Barbecue Plank
Barbecue planks are an easy, fun and tasty way of cooking, offering a modern method of cooking that barbecues meat, fish, seafood, fruit, vegetables and cheese in a uniquely woody, tender and aromatic style.
Chicken Roaster
One of the best ways to roast a chicken on the barbecue with minimal effort, keeping the meat tender and skin crispy, adding a can filled with fruit juice, beer, wine or any liquid to the base adds flavour to the meat.
Stainless Steel Sausage Roller
The sausage roller ensures even browning on all sides of the sausages, elevates to eliminate charring and preserve juicy flavour. It also prevents bangers from falling through the grill grate.
