KIDS CAN ENJOY ITALIAN FOOD AND RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL CHILDREN’S CHARITY

To help banish the back-to-school blues, children across the UK are being encouraged to savour the delights of Italian food while raising money for a good cause.

This autumn, ASK Italian restaurants will raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity by donating a percentage of sales from their scrumptious kids menus.

The menu which includes a tasty crudité starter followed by a choice of main course and dessert costs just £5.95, with 25p from every meal bought going to the charity.

TV chef and Italian cooking expert Theo Randall, comments: “The inspiration for the kids menu came from Italy and the Italian’s approach to family eating. Children are very much encouraged to eat the same food their parents enjoy but in smaller portions and that’s what ASK Italian have replicated on their kids menu using fresh, quality ingredients.”

To keep the little ones happy, the menu also comes with a fun activity sheet which is based around Italy’s annual tomato harvest.

The launch of the kids menu donation is part of an ongoing commitment from ASK Italian restaurants to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity to raise £1 million over the next three years.

The money raised from the partnership will help fund dining rooms, play areas and a kitchen within Great Ormond Street Hospital’s new Surgery Centre, due to open in 2016.

Antonia Dalmahoy, Director of Corporate Partnerships at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, comments: “We are very grateful to ASK Italian restaurants for donating a share of sales from their fantastic kids menu. We hope families take up the offer and help ASK Italian raise much needed funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.”

The kids menu is available in all ASK Italian Restaurants. To find your local branch, please visit www.askitalian.co.uk
