My mummy

‘My mummy’ by Paula metcalf and Lucy Barnard is an amazing book for young children published by Macmillan. This story is a wonderful celebration of motherhood and the special bond that exists between a mum and her children.

It’s really beautifully illustrated and I can relate to all activities and scenarios mentioned in the story: from cycling together in the park to make rocketships out of junk I bet most London mums would relate to this story of mummy bear! We absolutely love this book!

Little Bear is so sweet and reminds me of my son. He says: ‘I could travel round the world And know I’d never find A mummy even half as nice Or brilliant as mine! From playing games to making things and cuddling her baby tight, Little Bear’s mum is great at everything!’

But best of all, she belongs to Little Bear!
